I’m a Construction Operations Manager, Health & Nutrition Coach, Yoga Instructor, ZUU Trainer, Speaker and founder of the Healthy Tradie Project.
My time in the construction industry means I’m comfortable stepping on to site in my hard hat, boots and hi-vis to connect with Tradies!
But in 2009 my life was turned up side down when my eldest brother, a carpenter, took his own life.
In 2009 I immersed myself in health studies covering nutritional science, weight management, mindset and behaviour change, functional exercise programming and coaching. In 2017 I completed Baptiste Institute’s Level One: Journey Into Power yoga training in the USA and in 2018 ZUU Bronze Certification Training.
I believe that wellness exists in all of us and through the right nutrition, exercise and lifestyle practices, we can each unveil our healthiest self – physically, mentally and emotionally.
With my connection to the construction industry, it was only natural that I gravitated toward supporting those who I work with every day. In my quest to implement a proactive approach to safety and suicide prevention, I founded the Healthy Tradie Project.
Simply put, I give Tradies the tools they need to make step-by-step changes in their lifestyle unlocking the keys to looking, feeling and living better!

Healthy Tradie Project
At the Healthy Tradie Project we believe the best physical, mental and emotional health starts with solid foundations combining
MOVEMENT + MINDFULNESS + NUTRITION
Moving your body in a way that is different to how you do every day at work. It’s about building strength, increasing flexibility and mobility to reduce the potential for injury.
Your breath is like the remote control to your mind. You have access to your state of mind and your nervous system at any time just by using your breath. By controlling your breath, you control your state of mind bringing more awareness to what is happening within and around you.
What you eat affects how you feel and think. It impacts your mood and energy levels. It even impacts how you think. Long story short, food plays a huge role in how you show up every day. We are here to provide education, coaching and support to help you make the right food choices ensuring you are fueling your body with the best foods to be performing at your best.
The construction industry is not only a male dominated world, it’s stressful with long working hours and constant pressure to provide quality outcomes to often tight programs.
It took the loss of her brother, a carpenter, to suicide for founder, Pip Seldon to recognise the need for change in the construction industry.
Taking a proactive approach to suicide prevention, our mission is to support construction industry workers in living healthier, happier lives with movement, mindfulness and real whole food.
Our philosophy is all about finding balance between eating real whole food, movement and exercise, mindfulness, getting plenty of sleep, some time in the sun and making time for active play – disconnecting from technology and unwinding with unstructured activity.
Unfortunately most people don’t realise how much nutrition and these lifestyle behaviours affect how you perform every day.
If you aren’t getting enough sleep then it doesn’t matter how good your nutrition and exercise program is, you are sabotaging your health goals by not taking enough time to rest.
After almost a decade working alongside Tradies in the commercial construction industry, we know first-hand the stress and pressure that comes with the job and that’s why our team is committed to giving Tradies and construction workers the tools they need to better cope with the pressure and stress of the industry ensuring they are living their absolute best life now!
